Kelsey May is a writer and poet and is involved in local nonprofit, social justice, and political activism efforts. Creative writing and reading have had her heart since she was a kid. Her creative writing has appeared in Turnpike Magazine, The Maine Review, damselfly, Paste Magazine, Barking Sycamores, Broken Plate, and Pine Hills Review among others. She has also received numerous grants and awards, including a nomination for two Pushcart Prizes, a nomination for a Community Award by the Rapidian, and a grant from Grand Valley State University to write a series of poems about sexual assault and domestic violence, called The V-Card Series. She also loves ice skating and making vegan chili.
